  1. Develop and implement disaster response and recovery plans in collaboration with the American Red Cross team.
  2. Lead and manage a team of volunteers and staff to effectively respond to disasters and provide necessary support to affected individuals and communities.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments of disaster-affected areas and identify immediate and long-term needs of the community.
  4. Engage with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to build strong partnerships and coordinate disaster response efforts.
  5. Ensure compliance with all disaster management protocols and procedures set by the American Red Cross.
  6. Monitor and evaluate disaster response activities, collect data, and provide reports to senior management on progress and outcomes.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs for volunteers and staff to enhance their disaster response skills and knowledge.
  8. Stay updated on new developments and best practices in disaster management and emergency response.
  9. Represent the American Red Cross in meetings, conferences, and other events related to disaster management.
  10. Provide support and guidance to affected individuals and families, addressing their concerns and needs with empathy and compassion.
  11. Effectively manage resources, including finances, supplies, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective disaster response operations.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all disaster response activities and ensure timely reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of the American Red Cross and promote a positive image of the organization in the community.
  14. Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members and volunteers during disaster response operations.
  15. Continuously assess and improve disaster response processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in providing relief and support to those in need.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Disaster Response And Management.

  • Knowledge Of Disaster Preparedness And Response Protocols, Including Fema Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Manage And Coordinate A Team Of Volunteers And Staff During High-Stress Situations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Community Organizations, And Disaster Survivors.
