
Donor Center Phlebotomist

- Perform phlebotomy procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.

- Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines when handling donor information.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management.
- Attend team meetings and actively contribute to improving processes and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of phlebotomy procedures and donor interactions.
Certification Or Licensure As A Phlebotomist - The Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification Or Licensure As A Phlebotomist From A Recognized Institution Or State Agency.
Experience In Blood Collection And Processing - Experience In Blood Collection Techniques, Processing Procedures, And Equipment Is Essential For This Role. Previous Experience Working In A Blood Donor Center Or Blood Bank Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols - Due To The Nature Of The Job, A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols To Ensure The Safety Of Donors And Staff.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills - The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Donors And Colleagues Is Crucial For A Donor Center Phlebotomist. They Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Donors And Make Them Feel Comfortable During The Donation Process.
