- Perform phlebotomy procedures on donors, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety and accuracy of blood collection.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of collected blood.
- Educate donors on the donation process and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Greet and assist donors in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Accurately record donor information and test results in the electronic database.
- Monitor donor reactions and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions.
- Follow established protocols for handling and processing of blood products.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of donors.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques and procedures.

- Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.

Certification: A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Possess A Valid Phlebotomy Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Skills To Perform Blood Collection Procedures Accurately And Safely.
Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Donor Center Setting Is Typically Required For This Position. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Protocols And Procedures Involved In Collecting Blood From Donors.
Knowledge Of Blood Collection Procedures: A Donor Center Phlebotomist Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Principles And Techniques Of Blood Collection, Including Proper Needle Insertion, Vein Selection, And Specimen Handling. This Knowledge Is Essential For Ensuring The Safety And Comfort Of Donors.
Excellent Communication Skills: Donor Center Phlebotomists Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Interact With Donors On A Daily Basis, And Must Be Able To Put Them At Ease, Explain Procedures, And Answer Any Questions Or Concerns.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Donor Center Phlebotomists Must Be Able To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment, Often Dealing With Multiple Donors At Once.
