- Ensure a safe and comfortable experience for donors throughout the donation process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor information and blood units collected.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of donors and staff.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment for phlebotomy procedures.
- Collaborate with other members of the Donor Center team to achieve donation goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Follow all quality control measures to ensure the integrity of collected blood units.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the American Red Cross.
- Assist with recruitment of new donors and retention of current donors.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
- Represent the American Red Cross in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor and organization information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Certified Phlebotomist: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Certification In Phlebotomy From An Accredited Program.
Knowledge Of Safety And Sterilization Protocols: The Ideal Candidate Should Have An Understanding Of Safety And Sterilization Protocols To Ensure A Safe And Clean Environment For Donors And Staff.
Experience In Blood Collection: Previous Experience In Blood Collection Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of The Process And Techniques Involved.
Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential, As The Phlebotomist Will Be Interacting With Donors And Other Staff Members On A Daily Basis.
