In this role, you will play a crucial role in our lifesaving mission by collecting blood and conducting donor health screenings.   1. Collect blood from donors in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Conduct donor health screenings to ensure donor eligibility.
  3. Perform phlebotomy procedures using proper techniques and equipment.
  4. Label and process blood samples accurately and efficiently.
  5. Monitor donors for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized donor center environment.
  7. Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  8. Keep accurate and detailed records of donor information.
  9. Communicate effectively with donors to ensure a positive donation experience.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain phlebotomy skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  12. Collaborate with team members to meet donation goals and ensure donor satisfaction.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  14. Handle any donor concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  15. Represent the American Red Cross in a professional and compassionate manner at all times.
  16. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance donor experience and safety.
  17. Stay updated on current phlebotomy techniques and advancements in the field.
  18. Provide exceptional patient care and address any donor needs or concerns.
  19. Attend team meetings and actively participate in discussions.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Donor Center Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certification In Phlebotomy From A Recognized Institution Or Certification Board.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Phlebotomy In A Clinical Setting Is Required, Preferably In Blood Collection Or Donor Center.

  • Knowledge Of Blood Collection Procedures: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Blood Collection Procedures, Including Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture, As Well As Knowledge Of Donor Screening And Eligibility Criteria.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Donor Center Phlebotomist, As They Will Be Interacting With Donors On A Daily Basis And Must Be Able To Provide Clear Instructions And Information.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And Safe Collection, Labeling, And Handling Of Blood Products. This Includes Following All Standard Operating Procedures And Maintaining Accurate Records.
