As the lead engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse infrastructure to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data to our various departments.   1. Design and develop data warehouse infrastructure to efficiently store and manage large volumes of data.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data warehouse solutions.
  3. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing proper data validation and quality control processes.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve data warehouse performance.
  6. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  7. Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data mapping documents.
  8. Stay updated with emerging technologies and data management best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve data warehouse issues in a timely manner.
  10. Develop and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  11. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data warehouse infrastructure aligns with overall technology strategy.
  12. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to data management and analytics.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and data partners.
  14. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy laws.
  15. Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and promote data literacy across the organization.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Data Warehousing And Business Intelligence: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Designing, Building, And Maintaining Data Warehouses And Bi Solutions.

  • Strong Technical Skills: The Lead Data Warehouse Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Modeling, Etl Processes, Data Integration, And Data Management. Proficiency In Sql, Python, And Other Relevant Programming Languages Is Also Essential.

  • Leadership And Project Management Abilities: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead A Team Of Data Engineers And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Deliver Data Warehouse Projects On Time And Within Budget. Strong Project Management Skills And The Ability To Prioritize Tasks Are Crucial.

  • Familiarity With Healthcare Data: American Red Cross Deals With Sensitive Healthcare Data, And The Lead Data Warehouse Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Healthcare Data Regulations Such As Hipaa. Experience With Healthcare Data Standards Such As Hl7 And Fhir Is Also A Plus.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Lead Data Warehouse Engineer Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data Sets And Identify Patterns And Trends To Support Data-Driven Decision-Making. Additionally, The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues Is Crucial For This Role.
