Are you a driven and experienced Data Warehouse Engineer looking for a meaningful and impactful role? Join the American Red Cross as our Lead Data Warehouse Engineer and help us use data to make a difference in the world. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to use your technical expertise and leadership skills to design, develop, and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure.   1. Design and develop data warehouse infrastructure to support the organization's data needs.
  2. Lead and manage a team of data warehouse engineers to ensure efficient and effective data processes.
  3. Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  4. Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation, including data dictionaries and data flow diagrams.
  5. Perform data warehouse troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  6. Develop and implement data quality and governance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  7. Collaborate with other teams, such as data analytics and business intelligence, to ensure data warehouse meets the organization's needs.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to data warehouse architecture and development.
  9. Provide training and support to end-users on data warehouse tools and processes.
  10. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of data warehouse processes.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability of data warehouse.
  12. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans for data warehouse.
  13. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  14. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on data warehouse projects and initiatives.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and mentorship to junior data warehouse engineers.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Data Warehousing And Database Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Designing, Implementing, And Maintaining Data Warehouse Systems. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Modeling, Etl Processes, And Data Integration Techniques.

  • Proficient In Sql And Programming Languages: As A Lead Data Warehouse Engineer, The Candidate Should Be Highly Skilled In Writing Complex Sql Queries And Have Experience Working With Programming Languages Such As Python, Java, Or C++.

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Abilities: The Role Of A Lead Data Warehouse Engineer Requires The Ability To Lead A Team Of Data Engineers And Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Stakeholders.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Data Security And Privacy: The American Red Cross Handles Sensitive Data, And As Such, The Lead Data Warehouse Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Data Security And Privacy Regulations. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Encryption, Access Control, And Data Governance Best Practices.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Identify And Resolve Complex Data-Related Issues And Have A Strong Analytical Mindset. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Make Data-Driven Decisions To Optimize Data Warehouse Performance.
