- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of platelets to meet patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of platelet inventory and distribution.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement efficient processes for platelet scheduling and distribution.
- Monitor and report on platelet usage trends to inform future scheduling decisions.
- Coordinate with volunteers and staff to ensure adequate staffing levels for platelet collection and distribution.
- Train and supervise new team members to ensure they are equipped to handle platelet scheduling responsibilities.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the safety and integrity of platelet donations.
- Stay informed on industry developments and changes in protocols related to platelet distribution.
- Uphold the mission and values of the American Red Cross in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns from hospitals, blood donation centers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Sciences, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Scheduling Or Project Management.
Knowledge Of Blood Banking And Transfusion Services, Specifically Platelet Donation And Processing.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Priorities And Meet Deadlines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Teams And Stakeholders.
