- Perform quality control testing and analysis on blood products to ensure they meet safety and efficacy standards set by regulatory agencies and the American Red Cross.
- Utilize scientific knowledge and expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any quality control issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all quality control testing and analysis results.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on current industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality control in the medical field.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to identify and address any potential quality control concerns during the production process.
- Communicate and report any quality control issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest level of ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of work.
- Act as a representative of the American Red Cross and promote the organization's mission and values.
- Train and mentor new laboratory technicians on quality control procedures and techniques.
- Keep accurate inventory and monitor supply levels for quality control materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the quality and safety of blood products.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field.
Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or Equivalent.
Knowledge Of Quality Control Procedures And Protocols.
Familiarity With Fda Regulations And Good Laboratory Practices (Glp).
