  1. Perform quality control testing and analysis on blood products to ensure they meet safety and efficacy standards set by regulatory agencies and the American Red Cross.
  2. Utilize scientific knowledge and expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any quality control issues that may arise.
  3. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all quality control testing and analysis results.
  4. Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  5. Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  6. Stay informed and up-to-date on current industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality control in the medical field.
  7. Work closely with the manufacturing team to identify and address any potential quality control concerns during the production process.
  8. Communicate and report any quality control issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for process improvements.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
  11. Maintain the highest level of ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of work.
  12. Act as a representative of the American Red Cross and promote the organization's mission and values.
  13. Train and mentor new laboratory technicians on quality control procedures and techniques.
  14. Keep accurate inventory and monitor supply levels for quality control materials and equipment.
  15. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the quality and safety of blood products.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field.

  • Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or Equivalent.

  • Knowledge Of Quality Control Procedures And Protocols.

  • Familiarity With Fda Regulations And Good Laboratory Practices (Glp).
