QC Laboratory Technologist

1. Perform quality control testing on blood products to ensure safety and accuracy in accordance with FDA regulations and American Red Cross policies.
2. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and precise results.
3. Review and analyze test results, identifying and troubleshooting any discrepancies or errors.
4. Document and maintain accurate records of all quality control testing and results.
5. Collaborate with other laboratory staff to troubleshoot and resolve any quality control issues.
6. Keep up-to-date with current regulations, procedures, and best practices in quality control testing.
7. Participate in proficiency testing programs to assess and maintain competency in laboratory procedures.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of new quality control processes and procedures.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory.
10. Communicate effectively with other laboratory staff and management regarding quality control processes, issues, and results.
11. Train and mentor new laboratory technologists in quality control procedures and processes.
12. Identify and report any potential or actual quality control concerns to management.
13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
14. Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies when handling sensitive information.
15. Represent the American Red Cross in a professional and positive manner at all times.
