Research Associate
Participates in complex research or development studies both independently and in collaboration with research teams of new procedures, instrumentation, and technologies. Conducts experiments with a high level of independence. Maintains accurate and detailed records of experimental results and analyses. Reviews progress and evaluate results. Maintains laboratory equipment and operating procedures; contributes to process improvements. Unit-specific responsibilities with the scope of the job. Centered around blood banking and transfusion medicine. Unlike a hospital position, this role will offer a variety (based on study), is salaried, and requires minimal evening/weekend work (based on study).
A minimum of three years of relevant laboratory work experience.
Proficiency in laboratory methods, attention to detail, ability to recognize discrepancies in results.
Experience in the area of blood banking, hematology, flow cytometry, or transfusion medicine is desirable.
Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant field.
