You will lead a team of experts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic guidance to drive continuous improvement in our safety processes.To excel in this role, you must have a medical degree, along with at least 5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance and drug safety in the pharmaceutical industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with stakeholders at all levels.   1. Lead and direct the global safety team to ensure that all medical products meet safety standards and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to continuously improve global safety processes and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory affairs, clinical development, and medical affairs, to ensure alignment and compliance with global safety requirements.
  4. Provide expert guidance and support to the organization on global safety issues and serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
  5. Oversee the safety surveillance activities for all products, including signal detection, risk management, and safety reporting.
  6. Stay updated on global safety regulations and communicate any changes or updates to the organization.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, industry organizations, and key opinion leaders to ensure Amgen's compliance with global safety standards.
  8. Monitor and analyze safety data and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  9. Lead and manage safety-related audits and inspections.
  10. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in global safety and pharmacovigilance.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, to provide updates and recommendations on global safety issues.
  12. Serve as a spokesperson for Amgen on global safety matters and represent the company at industry conferences and events.
  13. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of global safety processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
  14. Collaborate with the medical community to share knowledge and best practices in global safety.
  15. Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in global safety and incorporate them into Amgen's safety processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Equivalent) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Global Drug Safety And Pharmacovigilance, Preferably In The Biotechnology Or Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Global Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines For Drug Safety, Including Ich, Fda, And Ema.

  • Strong Leadership Skills With The Ability To Manage And Develop A Global Team Of Safety Physicians And Scientists.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
