Lead the development and optimization of novel methodologies and techniques for the production of therapeutic peptides.
Utilize expertise in peptide chemistry to design and implement innovative processes for peptide synthesis and purification.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify potential areas for improvement in existing peptide manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans for process improvement and optimization.
Design and execute experiments to validate and optimize new processes and technologies.
Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making and identify areas for further optimization.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in peptide chemistry to ensure Amgen remains at the forefront of process development.
Communicate results and progress to stakeholders and leadership through presentations, reports, and publications.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards for all process development activities.
Participate in project planning and strategy discussions to support the achievement of business objectives.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and technologies in process development.
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity within the process development team.
Represent Amgen at conferences and industry events to showcase the company's advancements in peptide manufacturing processes.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the process development team.

Job Qualifications

Expertise In Peptide Chemistry: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Deep Understanding Of Peptide Synthesis, Purification, And Characterization Techniques, As Well As A Strong Grasp Of The Underlying Chemistry Principles.
Extensive Process Development Experience: A Successful Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Process Development, Preferably In The Biopharmaceutical Industry. They Should Be Well-Versed In Developing And Optimizing Robust, Scalable Processes For Peptide Manufacturing.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Requires A Highly Analytical And Detail-Oriented Individual Who Can Identify And Troubleshoot Complex Issues In A Timely Manner. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Applying Innovative Solutions To Process Development Challenges.
