Manager, Strip Steel Maintenance
Oversee Strip Steel (Pickler and Tandem Mill) Maintenance, provide technical support, and workforce coordination. Responsible for safety and housekeeping within Strip Steel; monitors adherence to monthly safety meetings, accident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up as required. Helps drive a Reliability Centered Maintenance Approach. Deals with Union Officials in a respectful manner and ensures adherence to the Union CBA. When needed, challenges Union Officials in interpretation of the CBA. Direct, supervise and coordinate Strip Steel Maintenance team members. Ensures that an adequately trained workforce is available. Coordinates operating and maintenance crews to make necessary repairs (during operating turns as well as repair turns). Communicates and works closely with other departments to solve problems. Coaches and motivates the workforce in the daily quest for levels of excellence in safety, quality and productivity.
Ten years experience in the steel industry in a position with supervisory responsiblities.
Ten years excperience in a flat rolled steel plant environment with supervisory responsiblities a plus
