Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Electrician Trainee (AMP) to join the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) team. The ideal candidate will have a combination of electrical training, experience, and a passion for learning and developing new skills. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to effectively troubleshoot and complete repairs in a timely manner. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with customers, visitors, and AOC personnel. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is committed to providing quality customer service and who is eager to learn and grow in this role. Minimum Qualifications include: •High school diploma or GED•Minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience•Valid Driver’s License and the ability to operate motor vehicles•Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolding•Certification from an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent•Knowledge of safety policies and procedures •Ability to interpret and follow electrical blueprints and schematics•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and complete electrical repairs in a timely manner.
  2. Interact with customers, visitors, and AOC personnel in a professional manner.
  3. Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders.
  4. Follow safety policies and procedures.
  5. Interpret and follow electrical blueprints and schematics.
  6. Climb and work from ladders and scaffolding.
  7. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  8. Maintain and update electrical certifications.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
  10. Prepare and submit progress reports to supervisor.
