- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems in historic buildings and facilities on Capitol Hill.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure all fire alarm systems are functioning properly.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to daily operations.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for fire alarm systems.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on fire alarm systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in fire alarm systems to continuously improve the safety and security of our facilities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to report any issues or concerns with fire alarm systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing all job duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained.
- Assist in training and guiding other team members in fire alarm system maintenance and repair.

Knowledge Of Fire Alarm Systems: A Qualified Electronics Mechanic At The Architect Of The Capitol Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Fire Alarm Systems, Including Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, And Repair.
Electrical And Electronic Skills: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Background In Electrical And Electronic Systems, Including Experience With Low-Voltage Wiring, Circuitry, And Controls.
Technical Training And Certifications: An Electronics Mechanic At The Architect Of The Capitol Must Have Completed Relevant Technical Training Programs And Hold Certifications, Such As A Certified Fire Alarm Technician (Cfat) Or National Institute For Certification In Engineering Technologies (Nicet) Certification.
Experience In Government Facilities: Previous Experience Working In Government Facilities, Particularly In A Similar Role, Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Knowledge Of Government Regulations And Safety Standards Related To Fire Alarm Systems.
