  1. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems in historic buildings and facilities on Capitol Hill.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure all fire alarm systems are functioning properly.
  3. Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to daily operations.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for fire alarm systems.
  5. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on fire alarm systems.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in fire alarm systems to continuously improve the safety and security of our facilities.
  7. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to report any issues or concerns with fire alarm systems.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing all job duties.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained.
  10. Assist in training and guiding other team members in fire alarm system maintenance and repair.
  11. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.
  12. Represent the organization in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude while interacting with colleagues and visitors.
  13. Contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment that values teamwork and open communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Fire Alarm Systems: A Qualified Electronics Mechanic At The Architect Of The Capitol Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Fire Alarm Systems, Including Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, And Repair.

  • Electrical And Electronic Skills: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Background In Electrical And Electronic Systems, Including Experience With Low-Voltage Wiring, Circuitry, And Controls.

  • Technical Training And Certifications: An Electronics Mechanic At The Architect Of The Capitol Must Have Completed Relevant Technical Training Programs And Hold Certifications, Such As A Certified Fire Alarm Technician (Cfat) Or National Institute For Certification In Engineering Technologies (Nicet) Certification.

  • Experience In Government Facilities: Previous Experience Working In Government Facilities, Particularly In A Similar Role, Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Knowledge Of Government Regulations And Safety Standards Related To Fire Alarm Systems.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Problems Related To Fire Alarm Systems. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Blueprints.
