  1. Assist in the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Assist in the preparation and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
  4. Collaborate with EHS professionals to investigate workplace incidents and develop preventive measures.
  5. Conduct research and analysis on emerging EHS trends and best practices.
  6. Support the maintenance of EHS records and documentation.
  7. Help to monitor and track EHS metrics and report on progress to management.
  8. Participate in EHS meetings and contribute to discussions and decision making.
  9. Assist with the coordination of emergency response and preparedness plans.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
  11. Help to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
  12. Conduct periodic reviews of EHS policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and in line with industry standards.
  13. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the EHS team.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Or Enrollment In A Relevant Degree Program: A Qualified Ehs Intern At Arconic Should Have A Background In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field. This Could Include A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree, Or Be In Progress Towards One.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Regulations And Standards: The Ehs Intern Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Key Regulations And Standards Such As Osha, Epa, And Iso 14001. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Assist In Compliance Efforts And Identify Potential Risks.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As An Ehs Intern, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Management, And External Stakeholders Is Crucial. This Includes Written And Verbal Communication, As Well As Active Listening Skills.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking: Ehs Interns Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Think Critically To Identify Potential Hazards And Risks. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Recommendations For Improvement.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Ehs Environment Can Be Fast-Paced And Ever-Changing. A Qualified Intern Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Priorities And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently. This Includes Being Open To Learning New Skills And Processes.
