
Mental Health Crisis and Consultation Specialist

- Provide crisis intervention and consultation services to students, faculty, and staff in need.
- Serve as a resource and support system for individuals experiencing mental health issues.
- Collaborate with campus partners to identify and address mental health concerns in the university community.
- Stay up-to-date on current mental health trends and best practices in order to provide the most effective support.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for individuals in crisis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and interventions.
- Communicate with outside mental health providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care for individuals.
- Develop and facilitate presentations and workshops on mental health topics for the university community.
- Assist in the implementation of mental health initiatives and programs to promote overall well-being on campus.
- Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, staff, and mental health resources within the university.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all interactions and interventions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve crisis intervention and consultation services based on feedback and data.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues and team members as needed.
- Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Act as an advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization within the university community.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Crisis Intervention, Mental Health Consultation, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Issues And Resources On The Asu Campus And In The Surrounding Community.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Population.
Certification Or Licensure In A Mental Health Field (E.g. Lpc, Lcsw) Preferred.
