- Prepare and dispense medication accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
- Assist in medication therapy management and patient education.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Act as a patient advocate by addressing any concerns or questions related to medication usage.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and resolve medication-related issues.

Extensive Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: A Qualified Applicant For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Quality Control.
Certified Pharmacy Technician: Ascension Health Requires All Pharmacy Technicians To Be Certified By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Competence And Knowledge In The Field.
Excellent Communication Skills: As An Advocate For Advanced Pharmacy Technicians, This Role Will Require Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Convey The Importance And Benefits Of Utilizing Advanced Pharmacy Technicians To Stakeholders, Including Pharmacists And Healthcare Administrators.
Leadership Experience: The Advanced Pharmacy Technician Advocate Will Be Responsible For Advocating For The Advancement Of Pharmacy Technicians Within Ascension Health. Therefore, Previous Leadership Experience In A Pharmacy Setting Or Within A Healthcare Organization Is Highly Desirable.
Commitment To Continuous Learning: As An Advocate For Advanced Pharmacy Technicians, The Individual In This Role Should Have A Passion For Continuous Learning And Staying Up-To-Date On Advancements In The Field. This Includes Attending Conferences, Workshops, And Other Educational Opportunities To Expand Their Knowledge And Skills.
