Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field: A Clinical Nutritionist At Ascension Health Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field. This Education Provides A Strong Foundation In The Science Of Nutrition And Prepares Individuals To Provide Evidence-Based Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification: Ascension Health Requires All Clinical Nutritionists To Be Certified As A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) By The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Academic And Professional Requirements To Provide Nutrition Services.
Experience In Clinical Settings: Clinical Nutritionists At Ascension Health Should Have Prior Experience Working In Clinical Settings, Such As Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Or Outpatient Clinics. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment And Provide Nutrition Services To Patients With Complex Medical Conditions.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Nutrition Practices: Ascension Health Values Evidence-Based Practices And Expects Clinical Nutritionists To Have A Strong Understanding Of The Latest Research In The Field Of Nutrition.
