  1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Lead a team of infection control professionals and provide guidance and support in their daily activities.
  3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to develop and implement infection prevention measures.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in infection control and ensure that best practices are being followed.
  6. Educate and train staff on infection control protocols and procedures.
  7. Investigate and report any outbreaks or incidents of infectious diseases.
  8. Monitor and analyze infection control data to identify trends and areas of concern.
  9. Develop strategies to prevent and manage healthcare-associated infections.
  10. Serve as a resource and expert on infection control issues for staff, patients, and visitors.
  11. Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection control activities.
  12. Participate in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans.
  13. Collaborate with local health authorities and agencies to monitor and respond to public health emergencies.
  14. Foster a culture of safety and infection control within the organization.
  15. Provide regular updates and reports on infection control performance and initiatives to senior leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or A Related Healthcare Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Infection Control And Prevention, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Infection Control Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Current Infection Control Guidelines And Regulations, Including Those From The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (Cdc) And The World Health Organization (Who).
