  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently, following all safety protocols and maintaining patient comfort.
  2. Collect, label, and process blood samples according to established procedures and guidelines.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and sterilization of equipment.
  4. Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, coworkers, and healthcare providers.
  5. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling and transporting specimens.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  7. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  8. Continuously seek to improve and update knowledge and skills in phlebotomy techniques and practices.
  9. Keep accurate and thorough records of all procedures and patient information.
  10. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of lab results.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions with empathy and professionalism.
  12. Follow infection control measures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  13. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and respect for patient privacy at all times.
  15. Handle difficult or stressful situations with composure and professionalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) – The Candidate Should Have A Valid Cpt Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Clinical Experience – Prior Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting Is Highly Preferred. This Can Include Experience In A Hospital, Laboratory, Or Other Healthcare Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Phlebotomy Techniques – The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Phlebotomy Techniques Such As Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Collection And Handling.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Equipment – Experience And Proficiency In Using Laboratory Equipment Such As Centrifuges, Microscopes, And Specimen Processing Machines Is Important For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication Skills – As A Primary Care Phlebotomist, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
