- Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently, following all safety protocols and maintaining patient comfort.
- Collect, label, and process blood samples according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and sterilization of equipment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, coworkers, and healthcare providers.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for handling and transporting specimens.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Continuously seek to improve and update knowledge and skills in phlebotomy techniques and practices.
- Keep accurate and thorough records of all procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of lab results.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Follow infection control measures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for patient privacy at all times.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) – The Candidate Should Have A Valid Cpt Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Clinical Experience – Prior Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting Is Highly Preferred. This Can Include Experience In A Hospital, Laboratory, Or Other Healthcare Facility.
Knowledge Of Phlebotomy Techniques – The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Phlebotomy Techniques Such As Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Collection And Handling.
Familiarity With Laboratory Equipment – Experience And Proficiency In Using Laboratory Equipment Such As Centrifuges, Microscopes, And Specimen Processing Machines Is Important For This Role.
Excellent Communication Skills – As A Primary Care Phlebotomist, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
