  1. Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in accordance with Ascension Health’s mission.
  2. Assist healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care to patients.
  3. Maintain a welcoming and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
  4. Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients by providing basic hygiene and personal care assistance.
  5. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  6. Assist with patient mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning.
  7. Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Recognize and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Attend training and continuing education sessions to maintain knowledge and skills.
  13. Support patients’ emotional and social needs by providing companionship and active listening.
  14. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  15. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  16. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  17. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  18. Remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
  19. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  20. Uphold Ascension Health’s values of integrity, compassion, respect, and excellence in all job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Ged: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Technician Position At Ascension Health Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For The Job.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Ascension Health Requires Candidates To Have A Valid Cna Certification To Be Considered For A Patient Care Technician Role.
