1. Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, including but not limited to, patient rooms, diagnostic departments, and surgical units.
2. Ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients, considering their physical limitations and medical needs.
3. Handle patient belongings and equipment with care, ensuring they are safely transported with the patient.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or needs.
5. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, remaining sensitive to the needs and feelings of patients.
6. Follow established safety protocols and procedures while transporting patients, including proper use of equipment and infection control measures.
7. Keep accurate records of patient transportation activities, documenting any delays or incidents.
8. Assist with the transfer of patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers, using proper body mechanics and techniques.
9. Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
10. Attend training sessions and meetings as required to maintain knowledge and skills related to patient transportation.
11. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of patient transportation equipment and areas.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
13. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
