1. Greet and welcome patients and their families with a compassionate and friendly demeanor.
2. Assist in the admission process by collecting and verifying patient information, insurance, and other necessary documents.
3. Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
4. Assist in scheduling appointments and procedures for patients.
5. Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates and information as needed.
6. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment on the unit.
7. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the unit, including patient rooms and common areas.
8. Assist clinical team members with various tasks such as taking vitals, collecting specimens, and transporting patients.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
10. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team to address any concerns or needs.
11. Participate in training and education programs to stay updated on protocols and procedures.
12. Collaborate with other unit assistants and healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
13. Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, and completing paperwork.
14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the values and mission of Ascension Health at all times.
