
Buying Assistant
As a Buying Assistant at ASOS plc, you will be joining a passionate, dynamic and fast-paced team and playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our buying functions. You will be involved in all aspects of the buying process, from liaising with suppliers to taking care of administrative duties, and must have strong organizational and communication skills.To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of the fashion market and experience in a similar role. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the buying process
- Create and maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor data to inform buying decisions
- Monitor stock levels and order new items when necessary
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure product visibility and availability
- Manage administrative tasks, such as invoicing, payment processing, and returns
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the fashion market and related trends
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software to carry out job duties
- Offer problem-solving solutions to any issues that may arise
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
