Job Description

ASOS plc is looking for an experienced Buying Assistant to join their team and help drive the success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a buying role, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to work well in a team. They should also possess a deep knowledge of the retail market and be able to provide creative solutions to the buying team. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the buying team in selecting merchandise products for the retail market.
  2. Maintain accurate records of buying activity.
  3. Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and delivery times.
  4. Monitor stock levels and take corrective action to ensure availability of products.
  5. Monitor trends in the retail market and identify new opportunities.
  6. Provide creative solutions to the buying team to improve product selection.
  7. Assist in the forecasting of sales and stock levels.
  8. Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely deliveries of products.
  9. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure a smooth and efficient buying process.
  10. Monitor competitor activity and pricing to inform the buying team.
