- Perform complex Cardiothoracic surgeries during the night shift, including heart and lung transplants, coronary artery bypass grafts, and valve replacements.
- Collaborate with a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
- Utilize the latest technology and techniques in Cardiothoracic Surgery to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to explain procedures, risks, and post-operative care instructions.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress during the night shift, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Respond to emergent situations and perform life-saving surgeries as needed.
- Document all procedures, treatments, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and conferences to discuss patient cases and advancements in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols, including infection control measures and safety guidelines.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through continuing education and participation in relevant training programs.
Medical Degree: The Candidate Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Cardiothoracic Surgery By The American Board Of Thoracic Surgery (Abts).
Residency And Fellowship Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Residency Program In General Surgery And A Fellowship Program In Cardiothoracic Surgery, Both Accredited By The Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (Acgme).
Experience: The Candidate Should Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Night Shift Availability: The Candidate Must Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Willing To Work Night Shifts As A Nocturnist, Providing Care For Patients With Urgent Or Emergent Cardiothoracic Conditions.
