- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients battling cancer.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or mental health.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure patients' comfort and safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Keep patient rooms and common areas clean and organized.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Adhere to Atrium Health's policies and procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Current Cna Certification: A Valid And Current Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification Is Required For A Cna/Healthcare Tech Position At Atrium Health's Oncology Unit. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Training And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide Quality Care To Patients.
Experience In Oncology Care: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In An Oncology Care Setting Is Preferred For This Role. Atrium Health Values Candidates Who Have A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Oncology Patients.
