Microbiology Technologist

You will work closely with other lab personnel and medical staff to ensure accurate and timely results. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to make a positive impact on patient outcomes.The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, and have at least two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, are essential. Knowledge of laboratory information systems and current laboratory techniques is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures to detect, identify, and quantify microorganisms in specimens submitted to the Microbiology Laboratory
2. Work closely with other lab personnel and medical staff to ensure accurate and timely results
3. Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in laboratory testing
4. Adhere to laboratory policies and procedures
5. Keep accurate and detailed records of laboratory tests and results
6. Ensure laboratory safety and security protocols are followed
7. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
8. Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and supplies
9. Communicate results to medical staff and other healthcare providers
10. Monitor and evaluate laboratory processes and procedures to ensure quality assurance
