- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Monitor and control access to the facility through proper identification procedures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility to ensure all areas are secure.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a peaceful and orderly environment.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards within the facility.
- Collaborate with other security team members and facility staff to address any security concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all individuals entering the facility.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new security personnel.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security activities.
- Stay up-to-date with all security procedures and protocols to ensure compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and briefings.
- Act as a positive representative of Atrium Health at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For An Unarmed Security Officer Position At Atrium Health.
State Security License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Unarmed Security License Issued By The State In Which They Will Be Working. This Ensures That They Have Received Proper Training And Have Met All Necessary Requirements To Perform Security Duties.
Previous Security Experience: Previous Experience In The Security Field Is Preferred For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Procedures And Protocols, As Well As Experience With Surveillance Systems, Access Control, And Emergency Response.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Unarmed Security Officers At Atrium Health Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Staff In A Professional And Courteous Manner.
Physical Fitness: The Role Of An Unarmed Security Officer Requires Physical Fitness As It May Involve Standing Or Walking For Long Periods Of Time, As Well As The Ability To Respond Quickly To Emergency Situations.
