Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the veterinarians and will assist in a variety of duties, including administrative, technical, and client communication tasks. Responsibilities:

1. Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals by preparing and administering medications, immunizations, and treatments.
2. Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as directed by the veterinarian.
3. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient history, test results, and treatments.
4. Clean and maintain equipment, instruments, and facilities as needed.
5. Restrain animals during medical exams and treatments.
6. Provide general support to veterinarians and staff, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and providing customer service.
7. Educate clients on animal care, health, and safety.
8. Monitor animals’ vital signs and administer first aid, as needed.
9. Perform administrative tasks as directed, such as completing paperwork and filing records.
10. Follow safety protocols and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
