
Athletic Trainer
Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our team and provide quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will be an experienced and passionate professional who is committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients.The Athletic Trainer will play an integral role in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to our patients. This individual will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and prevent injuries in athletes. The Athletic Trainer will also be responsible for developing rehabilitation plans and assisting in the recovery and prevention of injuries.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training, as well as current certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC). In addition, the Athletic Trainer should have a minimum of two years of experience in team sports or a clinical setting. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Finally, the Athletic Trainer must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate injuries and develop individualized rehabilitation plans
- Diagnose and treat sports-related injuries
- Provide preventive care and injury prevention strategies
- Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention
- Monitor athletes’ progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer first aid and emergency care
- Refer athletes to other healthcare professionals as needed
- Instruct athletes on exercise techniques and proper form
- Coordinate with coaches and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a safe environment for athletes
