Job Description

Baptist Health South Florida is looking for an energetic, motivated Patient Financial Representative to join our team! We are seeking an individual who is passionate about patient satisfaction and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, has strong communication skills, and is proficient with computers. If you have a positive attitude and the qualifications listed below, we encourage you to apply!Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent* Minimum of two years of experience in a health care setting* Proven track record of providing excellent customer service* Ability to work independently and with a team* Knowledge of medical insurance and billing practices* Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to patients, including assisting with billing and insurance inquiries.
  2. Respond to patient inquiries promptly and courteously.
  3. Process and submit patient payments in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information.
  5. Monitor patient accounts for delinquent payments and develop payment plans.
  6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance companies.
  7. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies.
  8. Work with medical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation of services.
  9. Coordinate with third-party payers to ensure accurate reimbursement.
  10. Analyze and resolve complex billing issues.
  11. Assist with other administrative duties, as assigned.
