Responsibilities:

1. Perform medical billing, coding and accounts receivable collections in accordance with healthcare industry rules and regulations.
2. Ensure accuracy of records and documents related to account receivables.
3. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, insurance companies and other healthcare providers.
4. Resolve patient and insurance discrepancies in a timely manner.
5. Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on delinquent accounts.
6. Properly document all collections activities in patient accounts.
7. Prepare reports and present them to management.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve patient billing issues.
9. Assist in training new personnel in medical billing, coding and accounts receivable collections.
10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
