
Senior Phlebotomist
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Phlebotomist to join our team at Baptist Health South Florida. The ideal candidate will be an experienced health care professional who is passionate about helping others and has the expertise to perform a wide range of phlebotomy duties. The Senior Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and processing them in the laboratory for diagnosis and treatment.The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they must display strong attention to detail and accuracy in a variety of tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of three years of prior phlebotomy experience is preferred. The Senior Phlebotomist must be certified and/or licensed to practice in the state of Florida.We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and helping to create a positive and welcoming healthcare environment. Responsibilities for Senior Phlebotomist:
- Collect blood samples from patients and process them in the laboratory for diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy in a variety of tasks.
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care and create a positive and welcoming healthcare environment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work space.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in phlebotomy.
- Adhere to state and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update certifications and licensure as required.
