
Therapy Aide, Outpatient Rehab

- Assist patients with physical therapy exercises and activities under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the therapist.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Greet and welcome patients to the facility, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
- Help patients with equipment setup and adjustments during therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- Communicate and collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect towards patients and their families.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on new therapy techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Contribute to the overall positive and supportive atmosphere of the therapy department.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Therapy Aide At Baptist Health South Florida Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Ability To Comprehend And Carry Out Tasks Assigned By Therapists.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Applying For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Outpatient Rehabilitation. This Shows A Familiarity With The Healthcare Environment And An Understanding Of Patient Care Protocols.
Basic Knowledge Of Therapy Techniques And Equipment: A Therapy Aide Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Common Therapy Techniques And Equipment Used In Outpatient Rehabilitation. This Will Allow Them To Assist Therapists Efficiently And Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Therapy Aide, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Build Trust With Patients And Collaborate With The Rest Of The Team.
Physical Ability To Assist Patients With Mobility And Daily Activities: This Job Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Assist Patients With Their Daily Activities And Exercises. Candidates Should Be Able To Lift And Move Patients, As Well As Navigate Around The Outpatient Facility.
