  1. Implement and support repository tools to facilitate the smooth delivery of software within the organization.
  2. Work closely with software development teams to understand their needs and ensure the repository tools meet their requirements.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the repository tools, ensuring minimal disruptions to the software delivery process.
  4. Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the repository tools.
  5. Train and provide guidance to software development teams on how to effectively use the repository tools.
  6. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the repository tools into the software development process.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in repository tools to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures related to repository tool usage.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations, in regards to repository tool usage.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the technology team to identify and resolve any conflicts or issues related to the repository tools.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on repository tools, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Repository Tools: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding And Experience Working With Various Repository Tools Such As Github, Bitbucket, And Artifactory. They Should Be Able To Effectively Utilize These Tools To Manage Version Control, Code Reviews, And Artifact Management.

  • Software Development Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Background In Software Development, With A Good Understanding Of Source Code Management, Build Processes, And Deployment Strategies. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Troubleshoot And Support Developers Using The Repository Tools.

  • Knowledge Of Devops Practices: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery. They Should Be Able To Configure And Maintain Automation Pipelines Using The Repository Tools For Efficient Software Development.

  • Experience With Cloud Technologies: As Barclays Moves Towards Cloud-Based Solutions, The Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Technologies Such As Aws, Azure, Or Gcp. This Will Enable Them To Integrate The Repository Tools With Cloud-Based Services For Seamless Collaboration And Deployment.

  • Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: As A Repository Tools Enablement Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Resolving Issues Related To The Tools. They Should Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Different Teams And Stakeholders To Provide Timely Resolutions.
