- Design and implement security infrastructure for the bank, including systems, networks, and applications, to protect against potential threats and attacks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security gaps and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations and projects.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, trends, and threats, and provide recommendations for their implementation to enhance the bank's security posture.
- Lead the development and implementation of security incident response plans and procedures to promptly address and mitigate security incidents.
- Communicate security risks and issues to senior management and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Provide guidance and support to IT teams in implementing secure coding practices and ensuring the security of applications and systems.
- Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate and implement security solutions and services.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to proactively identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to security architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in regulatory and compliance audits and ensure that all security controls and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security-related matters and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
- Continuously review and improve the organization's security posture to ensure the highest level of protection for the bank and its clients.
Strong Understanding Of Information Security Principles And Best Practices: A Security Architect At Barclays Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Security Principles, Frameworks, And Standards Such As Iso 27001, Nist, And Cobit. They Should Also Be Familiar With Emerging Threats And Industry Trends.
Extensive Experience In Designing And Implementing Security Solutions: A Candidate For A Security Architect Job At Barclays Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Designing And Implementing Security Solutions For Large And Complex Organizations. This Includes Experience In Network Security, Cloud Security, Identity And Access Management, And Data Protection.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance: Barclays Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Security Architect Should Be Familiar With Relevant Regulations And Compliance Requirements Such As Gdpr, Pci Dss, And Sox. They Should Also Have Experience In Conducting Security Audits And Assessments.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Security Architect At Barclays Is Expected To Work Closely With Various Teams And Stakeholders, Including It, Business, And Third-Party Vendors. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Security Concepts And Requirements To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
