
Bookseller
We are looking for a passionate Bookseller to join the team at Barnes & Noble! As a Bookseller, you will be the face of our store, providing an exceptional customer experience and helping our customers find the perfect books. This position requires a blend of excellent customer service skills, exceptional product knowledge, and a passion for books. If you have a genuine love for books and a commitment to helping others, this could be the perfect job for you!To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma and at least one-year experience in retail sales or customer service. You should also have excellent organizational and multitasking skills and be able to manage your time effectively. Additionally, you should have a strong knowledge of literature, book genres, and authors. It would be a plus if you have experience working with a POS system and/or book ordering systems.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of literature, book genres, and authors.
- Assist customers in finding the perfect book for their needs.
- Help customers with book orders and transactions at the POS system.
- Keep the store organized and tidy.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all customers receive the highest quality service.
- Answer questions about products, prices, and availability.
- Stay up-to-date with new products, promotions, and services.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and recordkeeping.
- Provide information and advice on books, authors, and reading recommendations.
