Job Description

At Barnes & Noble, we believe that our customers are our most important asset. We are looking for a Customer Experience Bookseller to join our team and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and a strong commitment to customer service. The Customer Experience Bookseller should have an aptitude for problem-solving and an ability to build relationships with customers.The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate clearly and effectively, and have a positive attitude. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of one year of customer service or retail experience and a familiarity with bookselling. Knowledge of special collections, such as children’s books, is a plus. The Customer Experience Bookseller should also have a high school diploma or equivalent.If you have a passion for books and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
  2. Build relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  3. Solve customer issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Maintain a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  5. Have knowledge of special collections, such as children’s books.
  6. Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  7. Follow store policies and procedures.
  8. Assist customers with purchases, returns, and exchanges.
  9. Develop an in-depth knowledge of books and bookselling.
  10. Monitor store inventory and restock shelves as needed.
