- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patients in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the integrity and completeness of all patient information by verifying and updating medical records on a regular basis.
- Review and process all incoming medical records, including lab reports, discharge summaries, and physician notes.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic medical records, ensuring they are easily accessible and secure.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to input and retrieve patient data.
- Conduct audits and quality checks on medical records to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues with medical records, including missing or incomplete information.

Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree Is Typically Required For A Health Information Management Specialist Position At Baycare Health System. Certified Health Information Management Professional (Chim): Baycare Health System May Require Candidates For This Position To Hold A Certification From The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima) As A Certified Health Information Management Professional (Chim).
