As the Specialist for BBC Studios, you will play a vital role in shaping and driving the development of new and existing programming across a range of genres. We are looking for someone with exceptional creative and strategic skills, a strong understanding of the current media landscape, and a proven ability to collaborate and lead a team.   1. Develop and deliver high-quality and innovative projects across a range of genres for BBC Studios.
  2. Work closely with the team to shape and drive the development of new and existing programming.
  3. Utilize exceptional creative and strategic skills to come up with fresh and unique ideas for content.
  4. Stay updated on the current media landscape and identify potential opportunities for new programming.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects.
  6. Lead a team of producers, directors, and other creative professionals to bring ideas to life.
  7. Take ownership of projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring all deadlines and budgets are met.
  8. Conduct market and audience research to identify trends and develop content that resonates with target audiences.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals to stay informed and seek out potential collaborations.
  10. Continuously pitch and develop new concepts and formats to keep BBC Studios at the forefront of the industry.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Television Production: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Television Production, Preferably In A Development Or Producing Role. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Production Process, From Development To Post-Production.

  • Knowledge Of Bbc Studios: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Bbc Studios, Its Values, And Its Programming. They Should Be Familiar With The Company's Current And Past Productions And Have A Strong Understanding Of Its Target Audience.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Development Producer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Working With A Wide Range Of Teams, Including Producers, Writers, Directors, And Executives. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships With These Teams.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Project Development: The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Developing Successful Projects, From Concept To Delivery. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Identify And Develop Compelling Ideas That Align With Bbc's Programming Objectives.

  • Creative And Innovative Mindset: The Bbc Is Known For Its Groundbreaking And Innovative Content, And The Development Producer Should Have A Creative And Innovative Mindset To Contribute To This Reputation. They Should Be Able To Think Outside The Box And Come Up With Unique And Engaging Ideas For New Projects.
