  1. Write and edit high-quality, accurate and engaging text content for various platforms, including articles, features, and news reports.
  2. Stay up-to-date with current events and news developments, and pitch story ideas that align with the BBC's mission and values.
  3. Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and credibility of all written content.
  4. Collaborate with other journalists, editors, and producers to develop and produce multimedia stories and projects.
  5. Adhere to the BBC's editorial guidelines and maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of journalism.
  6. Identify and pursue new and innovative ways to present and deliver news content to audiences.
  7. Utilize social media and other digital platforms to promote and share BBC content and engage with audiences.
  8. Mentor and provide guidance to junior journalists, and assist in their professional development.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with sources and experts to facilitate the production of high-quality news content.
  10. Take responsibility for monitoring and analyzing the performance of written content and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Journalism: A Senior Journalist At Bbc Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Text-Based Journalism, With A Proven Track Record Of Producing High-Quality Content.

  • Strong Writing And Editing Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Exceptional Writing And Editing Skills, With The Ability To Craft Engaging And Accurate News Stories In A Variety Of Formats, Including Articles, Blogs, And Social Media Posts.

  • Knowledge Of Current Affairs And News Gathering: As A Senior Journalist At Bbc, The Individual Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Current Events, Global News, And The Ability To Identify And Source Reliable Information From Various Channels.

  • Multimedia Skills: In Addition To Text-Based Reporting, The Senior Journalist Should Have Experience In Using Multimedia Tools And Platforms To Enhance Storytelling, Such As Creating Infographics, Videos, And Incorporating User-Generated Content.
