Job Description

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our store is visually appealing and that the merchandise is displayed in a way that maximizes sales.   1. Develop and implement strategies for visual merchandising that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with the store manager to create and maintain a visually appealing and customer-friendly shopping environment.
  3. Train and supervise the merchandising team to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.
  4. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the merchandising strategies.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of the store's inventory and work closely with the buying team to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of products.
  6. Ensure that all merchandise is properly displayed, priced, and tagged according to company guidelines.
  7. Conduct regular store walkthroughs to identify any visual merchandising issues and take necessary corrective actions.
  8. Communicate effectively with the store team to ensure proper execution of merchandising plans and promotions.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor's strategies to continually improve the store's visual presentation.
  10. Assist with inventory management, including overseeing markdowns, transfers, and stockroom organization.
  11. Assist with recruitment, training, and development of the merchandising team.
  12. Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute visual displays for special events and promotions.
  13. Maintain a strong understanding of store operations and assist with any tasks or responsibilities as needed.
  14. Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to visual merchandising with professionalism and provide satisfactory resolutions.
  15. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  16. Continuously strive to increase sales and profitability through effective visual merchandising techniques.
  17. Act as a role model for the team by showcasing a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the brand and company culture.
  18. Participate in company meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new products, processes, and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role, Is Required For An Assistant Store Manager - Merchandising Position At Belk. This Experience Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of The Retail Industry And The Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team.
