We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Selling Lead. As a Selling Lead, you will play a critical role in driving sales and customer satisfaction by leading and coaching a team of sales associates. We are looking for someone with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of customer service. If you are a natural leader with a proven track record in sales, we would love to hear from you.

  1. Train and coach sales associates on effective selling techniques and excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  2. Monitor sales performance and provide feedback and guidance to sales associates to drive sales and meet performance targets.
  3. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and meet company goals.
  4. Lead by example and actively engage with customers to provide exceptional service and promote product knowledge.
  5. Create and maintain a welcoming and organized sales floor to enhance the customer experience.
  6. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
  8. Conduct regular meetings with sales associates to discuss goals, performance, and provide training and development opportunities.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively coach and train sales associates.
  10. Serve as a liaison between customers and management to address any concerns or suggestions.
  11. Monitor inventory and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability and accurate pricing.
  12. Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude to motivate and inspire the sales team.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  14. Actively participate in team meetings and provide input and suggestions for improvement.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the customer experience and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Sales Experience: A Successful Selling Lead At Belk Should Have Previous Experience In A Sales Role, Preferably In The Retail Industry. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Drive Sales.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Selling Lead, One Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Sales Associates And Ensuring They Meet Their Targets. Therefore, Leadership Skills Such As Delegation, Motivation, And Coaching Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Both Customers And Team Members Is Crucial For A Selling Lead. They Should Be Able To Build Rapport With Customers And Provide Guidance And Direction To Their Team.

  • Knowledge Of Retail Operations: A Selling Lead Should Have A Good Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Inventory Management, Visual Merchandising, And Customer Service. This Will Allow Them To Make Informed Decisions And Drive Sales In Their Department.

  • Customer Service Orientation: Belk Prides Itself On Providing Exceptional Customer Service, And A Selling Lead Should Embody This Value. They Should Have A Customer-Centric Mindset And Be Committed To Creating A Positive Shopping Experience For Every Customer.
