Plant Engineer

Responsible for operation and maintenance of plant facilities including HVAC and electrical systems. Manages the design, funding and installation of equipment/ facilities improvement projects. Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safety and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and standards. Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the facilities HVAC, compressed air, chill water, and electrical systems. Prepare capital expenditure requests and justifications for improvement projects. Responsible for achieving budget, schedule, and goals established for projects. Seeks bids on construction, alteration or installation work as required. Administer contracts and coordinate work performed to ensure expectations are met. Facilitate energy related activities – review/approve utility invoices, project future utility needs, initiate energy conservation and cost reduction programs. Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend/implement corrective measures. Manage the Contractor Safety Program and ensure compliance.
