Job Description

We're excited to be hiring for a Retail Store Associate at Big Lots! As a Retail Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service to ensure our customers have a great shopping experience. You will engage with customers to provide helpful advice and answer questions, as well as assist with stocking, merchandising, and organizing store shelves. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and an outgoing personality. Responsibilities of a Retail Store Associate at Big Lots:

  • Provide excellent customer service in order to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Engage with customers to provide helpful advice and answer questions.
  • Assist with stocking, merchandising, and organizing store shelves.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new stock as needed.
  • Track customer purchases and suggest additional items.
  • Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures.
  • Assist with checkout processes and payment transactions.
  • Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude at all times.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
