Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of raw material (inventory) purchasing to support the on-site manufacturing team. The purchasing manager is accountable for achieving KPI targets on PPV, part shortages, and inventory on a diverse set of commodities. Manage a diverse set of commodities including machine parts, sheet metal parts, molded parts, cables, PCBA’s, chemicals, and powders purchased in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Develop sourcing strategies for new and existing products. Prepare requests for quotation, evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery dates, and supply agreements as appropriate. Achieve KPI targets (PPV, part shortage reduction, and inventory). Develop & improve procurement processes to support achieving KPI targets. Create and execute against a funnel of cost savings projects to achieve an annual PPV goal. Drive continuous improvement in reducing part shortages towards 0. Deeply review the data to understand the root cause, and implement countermeasures so the same issues don’t recur.
