Job Description

Lead HRL Leadership Team in order to provide philosophical and administrative leadership for the entire department. Supervise Assistant Directors and provide direction, training and professional development opportunities. Create and develop curriculum for department of HRL. Lead departmental student leader development, including but not limited to selection and training. Provide leadership on housing systems and policies with AD for HRL. Oversee and administrate all assessment and evaluation processes for HRL programming related to residents, Resident Assistants and Graduate Assistants and direct research and development processes for new programs based on assessment and evaluation outcomes. Attend regular staff/committee meetings and programs as directed by the Dean of Community Life.

Job Qualifications
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in student development, preferably Housing and Residence Life, with an emphasis on college student needs

  • Knowledge of student development theory, program development and assessment, management, staff training/development

  • Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects.
